Hi Gang!
I hope you’re all faring well in this summer heat. I’ve taken to watering the garden two times a day now, because if the plants are even half as thirsty as we are, they certainly need an extra drink, too. Just take a look at how productive they’ve been:

Excitement mounts!
We’re mere weeks away from election ballots arriving at our doors, which means there’s no time to lose as the campaign gets under way. I’ve already had some terrific talks with some of our fellow Alexandrians about what’s most important to keeping our township as wonderful as it is, and every conversation has given me much to think about—and gets me very excited at the opportunity to put ideas into action next year.

Helping Hands
Yesterday I was honored to onboard my first official volunteer, Jeanne, who will be serving as my campaign Treasurer! Coming out of retirement from her career in payroll management, Jeanne has graciously offered to help make sure every cent is accounted for and put to proper, effective use. Thank you, Jeanne!
Speaking of volunteering: if you or someone you know would like to get involved and spread the word about my candidacy, I’d be thrilled to have as many helping hands as we can get. Right now, I think the most important thing is indeed “getting out the vote,” as they say—so I appreciate any effort toward connecting with your friends, neighbors, and even strangers, letting them know Max Cooper is on the ballot and the right man for the job.
What It’s Going to Take
As a gardener, I like to call a spade a spade. So when it comes to this election, the truth is this: it’s going to be very difficult to win. As a fresh face, running against an incumbent, on a party that has fewer registered voters in the area than there are unaffiliated folks, there are no shortage of obstacles to overcome in our campaign for Township Committee.
But I’m up for the challenge! And with your help, I think we can do it.
So here’s what it’s going to take: getting out there and talking with anybody and everybody. That means being bold enough to introduce ourselves to our neighbors we haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting, who share our love for this terrific place we call home. Calling friends and family to make sure they’ll exercise their right to vote as soon as they receive their ballots in the mail. Extending open arms across party lines, working together to bring about what’s best for our beloved Alexandria Township.
Even if you only manage to connect with one other person, that would be an enormous help. In an area of fewer than 4,000 voters, every single vote really does make a difference.

Thank You.
Thanks in advance for your support! I’m excited to keep campaigning, and so grateful to have you join me and continue spreading the word.
In the meantime: stay cool.
Cheers,
Max
