Hi Gang!
On Friday, I got an exciting delivery in the mail: my brand-new yard signs!

Woohoo! But more on those in a bit. First, let’s take a look at the numbers…
Every Vote Counts
Welp, we’re fully into it now. It’s been a few weeks since we got our ballots in the mail, and many Alexandrians have already sent theirs in. Excitement mounts!
Here’s what’s really neat: because of this year’s “rolling” election, we can actually track the exact number of votes that have been counted thus far. Here are the stats as of today:

In other words, about 20% of registered voters in Alexandria have already had their votes counted. Not too shabby!
Curious about how those votes break down by party? I was, too. Let’s take a look:

About half the ballots were cast by Republicans, 37% came from Democrats, and another 11% were sent in by unaffiliated or third-party folks.
Of course, the beautiful thing about our voting system is you don’t have to vote according to your party affiliation. And it’s been a wonderful honor to keep hearing from people who have voted for me even though they’re from another party—they know we’re all in it together here in Alexandria. That’s true democracy at work.
In fact, one voter who described himself as “very Republican” went above and beyond—he even put one of my signs in his yard!
Would you like one, too?
This past weekend, I had a terrific time delivering these signs to folks all over our gorgeous township. I met lots of new people, had great conversations, and was proud of how dang friendly our fellow Alexandrians are.

If you’d like to show your support for my candidacy, I’d be honored and thrilled to bring you one of the few remaining signs to put out in your yard. Please let me know and I’ll be right over!
Thanks for your support!
I’m so grateful for the growing support I’ve received in the last few weeks. Truth be told, I couldn’t have produced this first batch of signs without a generous donation from folks just like yourself. If you’d like to see even more signs out there and want to help me whip up another batch, I’d be very thankful to receive your contribution—at $5 a sign, every dollar goes a long way!
I’ve also been very lucky to have many people volunteering their time to help me spread the word about my candidacy, whether on their own or by joining me for some fun phone banking. A big thanks to Patrick, Ruth, Mishka, Ria, Brian, and Charlie—and Grandma, of course!
If you want to join those amazing folks and help get out the vote, we’d love to have your help. Thanks in advance!
Until next time…
That’s all for today! I’ll be back again soon with another update on the running ballot count. In the meantime, I hope you’re enjoying the change of seasons as much as I am—our township seems to flaunt its beauty all year long, no?
Have a great week,
Max
